FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic) is used extensively in trailer liners for a variety of applications, including refrigerated trailers, dry cargo trailers, and trailers used to transport specialized cargo. Made from a combination of fiberglass and plastic resin, FRP liners offer superior durability, strength, and resistance to damage compared to traditional materials such as plywood or metal.

- FRP linings are highly resistant to wear, impact, and abrasion, ensuring trailers can handle heavy-duty work for long periods of time.
- FRP is resistant to rust and corrosion, making it an ideal choice for trailers exposed to wet, humid, or corrosive substances.
- FRP linings are significantly lighter than traditional metal or wood linings, reducing the overall weight of the trailer and improving fuel efficiency.
- FRP linings offer excellent thermal insulation properties, which is especially important for refrigerated or temperature-sensitive cargo.
TOPOLOGROUP provides two types of FRP materials as trailer lining to meet different customer requirements.
Thermosetting FRP Liner
A composite material made of glass fiber mat or cloth mixed with thermosetting resin.
- Excellent heat resistance, corrosion resistance and structural strength.
- The surface is smooth and easy to clean.

Specifications
Fiber Type | Fiberglass mat; fiberglass cloth. |
Resin Type | Unsaturated polyester. |
Fiberglass Content | 30-70%. |
Surface Treatment | Glossy/matte. |
Surface Color | RAL series. |
Thickness | 0.7-5.0mm. |
Width | ≤3200mm. |
Thermoplastic FRP Liner
A material made of continuous fibers and thermoplastic resin is generally called CFRT.
- Better flexibility and higher impact resistance.
- Lower manufacturing cost and maintenance expenses.

Specifications
Fiber Type | Continuous glass fiber. |
Resin Type | Polyurethane resin. |
Fiberglass Content | 60-70%. |
Surface Treatment | Glossy/matte. |
Surface Color | White or customized RAL color. |
Thickness | 0.7-2.0mm. |
Width | ≤2800mm. |
Application Cases
Another design advantage of using CFRT as a trailer liner is that CFRT materials can be used instead of metal plates as kick plates, thereby simplifying the trailer manufacturing process and reducing costs.
