GRP(FRP) honeycomb panels are used for partitions of RV internal facilities and are an excellent lightweight solution. They are lightweight, smooth, durable, and easy to process. As a new type of economical composite material, it has replaced wood and become the first choice for optimizing the internal structure of many types of RVs.
GRP honeycomb panels are made of flat GRP panels and polypropylene honeycomb cores, which are composited by high-viscosity adhesives. By changing the thickness and density of these materials, the honeycomb panels can achieve different mechanical strengths to meet application requirements.

Performance Advantages
- Waterproof & Moisture-proof
GRP honeycomb panels will not decompose in structure even if completely immersed in water, and the waterproof effect is better by sealing its edges.
- Corrosion & Termite-resistant
Traditional RV back partitions are usually made of wood, which will crack, deform or rot after a certain number of years due to the influence of the internal and external environment of the RV, such as water vapor infiltration, termite infestation, etc. Due to the corrosion resistance of GRP honeycomb panels, it can maintain a long-term stable state, and RV owners do not have to worry about maintenance and upkeep.
- Lightweight & High Strength
The biggest feature of GRP honeycomb panels is that they combine lightness with high strength. Compared with wood of the same thickness (taking HPL as an example), its density is usually only 1/3 – 1/5, but it can provide 20-30% more compressive strength and bending strength.
- High-precision Machining
These honeycomb panels are processed into designed shapes by CNC machines, and the edges of the panels are cut neatly. The TOPOLOGROUP high-end CNC processing platform can complete complex shape processing of honeycomb panels, such as cutting, drilling, milling, etc.
- Defects & Improvement Methods
The biggest disadvantage of GRP honeycomb panels is their poor nail holding force, but this defect can be solved through clever design. For example, the mortise and tenon structure can well solve the connection problem of honeycomb panels.
