FRP Panels for Trailers
Home » Truck & Trailer Solutions » Truck & Trailer Composite Panels
High-quality FRP sandwich panels improve trailer performance and reduce manufacturing costs.
FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic) composite panels are used on various types of trailers to achieve stronger overall performance. These trailers play an important role in both leisure and logistics transportation.
Common Applications
- Camper trailers.
- Refrigerated trailer.
- Dry van trailers.
- Food trailers.
- Display trailers.
- Portable trailers.
- Ambulance trailers.
- Horse trailers.
- Pet trailers.
- Workshop trailers.
- Medical trailers.
- Livestock trailers, etc.

Flat FRP Sheets
TOPOLOGROUP actively develops new material technologies and develops a variety of FRP with excellent performance and different characteristics for the trailer market.
- A wide range of surface colors (RAL color series).
- Personalized surface textures.
- Customizable sizes (length, width, thickness).

Thermosetting matrix + Fiberglass felt
- Description
Mixed by unsaturated polyester and chopped fiberglass felt in a certain proportion, it is usually coated with a layer of air-isolating gel coat on the surface to achieve better weather resistance and aesthetic effects.
- Feature
Hard, flat surface, not easy to deform, and colorful surface colors.

Thermosetting matrix + Fiberglass cloth
- Description
Fiberglass woven cloth is made of unsaturated polyester and fiberglass roving in a certain proportion, and its tensile strength is much better than that of glass fiber mat.
- Feature
Good toughness, tear resistance, light and thin.

Thermoplastic resin + Continuous fiberglass
- Description
This is a new type of FRP material developed based on CFRT (continuous fiber reinforced thermoplastic). Different from traditional thermosetting matrix FRP, it not only has excellent mechanical properties, but also is a recyclable and environmentally friendly material.
- Feature
Sufficient rigidity, wear resistance, and impact resistance.
Core Material Selection of FRP Panels
FRP sheets are combined with various core materials to form sandwich panels with different functions.
- Foam core
- Plywood core
- Honeycomb core

Foam Core FRP Panels
Description
The foam core has low density and low thermal conductivity, making it suitable for trailer bodies that require lightweighting and thermal insulation.
Core Materials
- PET (polyethylene terephthalate) foam.
- XPS (extruded polystyrene) foam.
- PU (polyurethane) foam.
- PVC (polyvinyl chloride) foam.
Specifications
- Length: up to 12m.
- Width: up to 3.2m.
- Thickness: 10-150mm.

Plywood Core FRP Panels
Description
Plywood is strong enough to withstand heavy loads, but has poor water resistance, making it suitable for building dry cargo trailer bodies.
Core Materials
- Poplar.
- Pine.
- Birch.
- Eucalyptus.
Specifications
- Length: up to 12m.
- Width: up to 3.2m.
- Thickness: 10-50mm.

Honeycomb Core FRP Panels
Description
The strength and rigidity of the honeycomb core are very high, and it is very light and has excellent waterproof performance, but its thermal insulation effect is poor, so it is suitable for building light trailer bodies.
Core Materials
- PP (polypropylene) honeycomb.
Specifications
- Length: up to 12m.
- Width: up to 3.2m.
- Thickness: 10-150mm.
