PET foam aluminum sandwich panels are a type of composite material widely used in applications where both lightweight and strong materials are required. These panels consist of two outer layers of aluminum sheets with a core made from Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) foam. This combination offers a range of benefits that make them ideal for various industrial applications.

Product Advantages
- Lightweight: Aluminum is a low-density metal material, about 1/3 of steel.
- Corrosion resistance: Aluminum has excellent oxidation resistance and weather resistance, which is significantly better than steel.
- Environmental protection: Aluminum and PET foam are recyclable materials with high recycling rates.
- Beautiful and flexible: The surface of aluminum sheets can be processed into various colors and patterns.

02. PET Foam Core

The structural characteristic of PET (polyethylene terephthalate) foam is that the bubbles inside the foam are closed and not connected to the outside world. This special structure gives PET foam the following unique advantages:
- Low water absorption: Since the bubbles are closed, water cannot enter the foam, making it extremely low in water absorption and able to be used stably for a long time in a humid or underwater environment.
- High mechanical strength: The closed bubbles provide strong structural support, making the closed-cell PET foam show higher compressive strength and bending resistance when subjected to external forces.
Foam Types

- 100% virgin PET raw materials for a consistent, pure product.

- Made from recycled PET material through a specific foaming technology.
Applications
PET foam aluminum sandwich panels are versatile and provide a wide array of benefits in many industries. They are especially popular in sectors that require lightweight, durable, and thermally efficient materials, making them an essential component in modern construction, transportation, aerospace, and energy solutions. Typical applications include:

Transportation
Lightweight yet strong aluminum sandwich panels help reduce the overall weight of vehicles, improving fuel efficiency and payload capacity. Such as:
- Dry cargo trucks.
- Dry cargo trailers.
- Fire trucks.
- Ambulances.
- Buses.
- Subways.
- RVs, etc.

Buildings
Aluminum sandwich panels can be finished in a variety of coatings and textures to create a modern, stylish look while providing exceptional durability and low maintenance. Such as:
- Exterior wall cladding.
- Roofs.
- Interior wall panels.
- Ceilings.
- Partitions, etc.

Marine
Aluminum sandwich panels can be used for ship structure construction, which can overcome the corrosion problems caused by the high-salt and humid marine climate and extend the service life of the ship.

Aviation
Aluminum sandwich panels are used in aircraft interiors, including partitions, ceilings, and floors, because they are lightweight, strong, and corrosion-resistant.
TOPOLOGROUP also produces aluminium facing sandwich panels with XPS (Extruded Polystyrene), PU (Polyurethane) and PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) foam cores. Please contact us for more information.
