PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) Foam Board is a durable and versatile material. As an alternative to PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) Foam Board, it is very suitable for various applications such as engraving. This material is lightweight, strong, has both rigidity and flexibility, and has a smooth surface and is easy to process. It works well in cutting, shaping and engraving, especially for fine work.
- Recyclable and environmentally friendly.
- Multi-density specifications for different application areas.
- Excellent heat resistance, long-term use temperature 120℃, short-term maximum use temperature 200℃;
- Closed-cell structure, low water absorption, mildew resistance.
- Good thermal insulation, low thermal conductivity.
- Excellent mechanical properties and fatigue resistance.
- Excellent machinability, can be cut, easy to bond, and can be heated to form various curved shapes.
- Low thermal expansion coefficient, comparable to the thermal expansion of concrete, steel, glass, etc.
We supply both virgin and recycled PET foam board

Our PET foam board does not contain CFC/HFC and only adds halogen-free flame retardants. It will not produce toxic gases harmful to the human body during processing.

Common Engraving Techniques for PET Foam Board
- Hand Engraving
A sharp utility knife or engraving tool is usually best for hand engraving smaller, detailed designs. - Hot Wire Cutting
Hot wire cutters are particularly well suited for PET foam, especially for creating smooth, curved cuts or shaping large pieces. The heated wire cuts through the foam cleanly, reducing the risk of jagged edges. - CNC Machining
For more precise and intricate designs, a CNC machine can be used to engrave or etch PET foam board. This method is ideal for creating complex patterns, logos, or detailed three-dimensional shapes. - Laser Cutting
Laser cutting is another effective way to engrave PET foam board, especially for complex, delicate designs.
Applications
- Prototypes and Models
Used by designers and engineers to create scale models or prototypes, as the foam can be easily carved into any shape or form. - Signage
PET foam boards are commonly used for creating carved signs and logos, especially in outdoor applications where weather resistance is important. - Architectural Models
Architects and designers often use PET foam boards to carve detailed models of buildings, landscapes, or structures. - Decorative Items
PET foam is often used for creating custom decorations or sculptures for events, displays, or exhibitions. - Theatrical and Film Set Design
Carved PET foam is used to make lightweight, durable set pieces and props for theater productions, TV, or film.
