Cryotherapy Chamber Panels

Home » Applications » Building Solutions

Cryotherapy chambers are specially designed spaces where cryotherapy treatments are conducted. These chambers use extremely cold temperatures, typically ranging from -100°C to -140°C (-148°F to -220°F), to provide therapeutic benefits. They are commonly used in sports recovery, wellness centers, and medical applications. Cryotherapy room panels are critical components of a cryotherapy room, designed to maintain ultra-low temperatures efficiently while ensuring safety and durability. These panels must meet stringent requirements to function in extreme conditions.

Performance Requirements for Cryotherapy Chamber Panels

  • Thermal insulation : It needs to have a very low thermal conductivity to reduce heat transfer and keep the indoor temperature ultra-low.
  • Durability and strength: The panel needs to be resistant to low temperature impact and not easy to crack or deform.
  • Security: The panel surface needs to be antibacterial, non-toxic, and meet human health and safety standards. It must also meet flame retardant requirements to avoid fire risks.
  • Easy installation: Modular design for easy and quick installation and disassembly.

FRP skin foam sandwich panels have the above performance requirements, making them an ideal material for building cryotherapy chambers.

  • FRP panels resist warping and degradation in extremely cold conditions.
  • The surface coating of FRP panels is frost-resistant and does not form condensation.
  • The FRP panel has a smooth surface and is easy to clean and maintain.
  • FRP panels are fire-resistant and meet safety standards.
  • Cryotherapy room panels are modular in design, allowing for quick assembly and disassembly.

Material options

FRP Skin XPS (Extruded Polystyrene ) Foam Sandwich Panels
  • Features: High heat resistance, light weight, excellent thermal insulation, high compressive strength.
FRP Skin PU (polyurethane ) Foam Sandwich Panels
  • Features: High heat resistance, light weight, better thermal insulation, cost-effective, but not as durable as XPS foam sandwich panels.

Recommendations: If you are planning a cryo chamber, PU foam sandwich panels may be a better choice because its ultra-low thermal conductivity and excellent thermal insulation performance can ensure a stable low-temperature environment. However, if cost control is important and load-bearing performance is required, XPS foam sandwich panels are also very practical.
