Fiberglass Reinforced Plywood Truck and Trailer Panels

Home » Sandwich Panels

Fiberglass-reinforced plywood is an excellent material choice for dry cargo truck bodies and trailers due to its strength, durability, and resistance to moisture, impact, and abrasion. These panels combine the structural integrity of plywood with the added benefit of fiberglass reinforcement.

  • Facing: Gelcoat FRP; CFRT – Continuous Fiber Reinforced Thermoplastic.
  • Core: Plywood. (Birch, pine, poplar, eucalyptus, oak, etc.)
  • Composite Method: Adhesive.
  • Thickness: 5-50mm.
  • Length: ≤12000mm.
  • Width: ≤3200mm.

The fiberglass reinforced plywood panels produced by TOPOLOGROUP are widely used and highly recognized in the transportation field due to their excellent quality.

We offer two types of fiberglass reinforced plywood: thermosetting FRP facing and thermoplastic CFRT facing. They have different properties and are suitable for applications with different requirements for appearance, strength, etc.

Production and processing

  • Two-component polyurethane adhesive bonds the 3 layers together, providing excellent bonding strength.
  • The panels are laminated in a vacuum high-pressure press, which makes the layers more tightly bonded and less likely to delaminate.
  • High-precision CNC-processed plywood sandwich panels allow complex box body panel designs to be quickly realized.
