Skin (Facing) Materials

Composite Methods
- Bonding Adhesive
The skin and core are bonded with a strong adhesive to ensure that the panel maintains its integrity and strength. Epoxy, polyurethane, acrylic, and silicone adhesives are among the most common options, each offering distinct advantages in terms of strength, flexibility, and environmental resistance.
- Thermoplastic Lamination
Bonding the core and skin by heating and pressure, mainly used for thermoplastic materials such as CFRT sheets, polypropylene honeycombs, and PET foams. The skin and core are heated to make them interpenetrate each other and tightly bonded together after cooling. Thermoplastic resins soften when heated and solidify after cooling, and are reversible, that is, they can be heated and molded multiple times.
