

The composite combines high-performance carbon fiber reinforcements with PPS (Polyphenylene Sulfide) resin to form a strong, lightweight and durable material suitable for high temperature and high stress applications.

PPS resin is known for its high thermal stability, chemical resistance, and electrical insulation properties. It can withstand temperatures up to 260°C (500°F) and is resistant to a wide range of chemicals, making it ideal for harsh environments. Carbon fiber has an excellent strength-to-weight ratio and stiffness. The fibers are oriented in a single direction (unidirectional), allowing for maximum strength along the fiber direction. The combination of carbon fiber and PPS resin creates a material that is both lightweight and very strong, able to withstand high mechanical loads without adding unnecessary weight.
