Manufacturing Process
The continuous glass fiber bundle is released through the yarn unwinding device, spread evenly through the yarn spreading device, and then enters the impregnation system to be impregnated with the molten PPS resin under high temperature and high pressure. Finally, it is shaped through the hot pressing and cooling device to form a PPS resin glass fiber thermoplastic unidirectional tape.

Product Features
- Mechanical properties
The addition of glass fiber greatly improves the tensile strength and bending strength of the unidirectional tape, which can withstand large external forces, has good rigidity, and has low creep under load.
- Heat resistance
PPS resin has excellent heat resistance, and its heat deformation temperature is generally greater than 260℃. It can be used for a long time in the temperature range of 180-220℃, and can withstand 260℃ in the short term.
- Chemical stability
PPS resin is stable to most acids, esters, copper, phenols, aliphatic hydrocarbons, aromatic hydrocarbons, chlorinated hydrocarbons, etc., which makes the unidirectional tape have good chemical corrosion resistance.
- Flame retardant properties
The oxygen index of PPS resin is as high as 44%, which is a highly flame retardant material. Glass fiber also has certain flame retardancy, which improves the fire safety performance of the material.
- Dimensional stability
The water absorption rate of PPS resin is extremely small, generally only about 0.03%, and the size changes little under different temperature and humidity conditions. After combining with glass fiber, the dimensional stability of the unidirectional tape is further improved.
