Kick plates are protective metal or composite plates mounted on the lower part of a truck’s rear doors or on the sides of the vehicle. These plates are designed to protect the truck body from damage caused by impacts, abrasions, and rough handling during loading and unloading. Kick plates are especially useful in preventing wear and tear from the constant friction that can occur when objects are moved in and out of the truck. They help maintain the truck’s structural integrity and appearance, extending its service life and minimizing repair costs.
Aluminum Kick Plates
Aluminum kick plates offer excellent corrosion resistance, making them ideal for use in adverse weather conditions. They withstand the wear and tear and impact that can occur in daily operations, maintaining the integrity of the truck body. Commonly used in industries such as logistics, distribution, and transportation, aluminum kick plates provide long-lasting protection while maintaining a sleek, professional look.

Thermoplastic Composite Kick Plates
Thermoplastic composite kick plates are made of a durable thermoplastic material – CFRT (Continuous Fiber Reinforced Thermoplastic). They are known for their lightweight and strong structure, with excellent wear resistance, impact resistance and corrosion resistance. CFRT has excellent flexibility and toughness, ensuring that the kick plates can withstand the wear and tear of daily use in challenging environments. Typically, CFRT kick plates are laminated with wall panels, which simplifies the manufacturing process of truck bodies.

CFRT Sheets
Continuous fiber reinforced thermoplastic (CFRT) laminates are an advanced lightweight composite material. Continuous fibers are combined with thermoplastic resins to create durable, lightweight and durable prepreg tapes, which are then thermal laminated together at set angles to form CFRT sheets with improved performance. CFRT laminates are known for their excellent mechanical properties, including high strength-to-weight ratio, good impact resistance, and resistance to environmental factors such as moisture and chemicals. In addition, unlike thermosetting plastics that cannot be reused, as a thermoplastic composite material, CFRT is recyclable, reducing material waste and contributing to the sustainable development of the economy.
